In his book 'A Christmas Carol', published about 175 years ago the word Mary was used the most instead of Happy. People from different parts of the world read this book and started practicing Mary in place of Happy. But, let us tell you that if you use the word Happy instead of Mary, then there is nothing wrong with that.
Celebration of Merry Christmas
Both Christians and many Non-Christians in the world celebrate Christmas as the day when a mystical man known as Santa Claus gives gifts to children in the world. A few weeks before Christmas, parents take their children out to meet a man dressed as Santa. The parents learn the wishes of their children by listening to the children tell “Santa” what they want for Christmas.
They are told by their parents that they will receive stocking pieces of wood and coal if they have been bad during the past year and if they have been good, they can expect toys from Santa.
On Christmas eve, the children hang one of their stockings on their mantels. The children leave a glass of milk and cookies on the kitchen table for Santa, who visits when the children are asleep. Families get together on Christmas day for a family dinner and to exchange gifts. The homes are decorated with many lights, focusing on the Christmas tree with ornaments and lights.
Gifts are placed under the tree for gift exchange after dinner. Usually, dinner is a turkey dinner with all of its trimmings. It is a happy occasion.
